We are incredibly excited to be the first club in the UK to bring Happy Ratters to you!

 

If your dog already loves the thrill of Barn Hunt, or you're simply looking for a new way to let them use their nose, problem solve and have FUN, Happy Ratters is the perfect for your dog!

Think of it as a fun extension of Barn Hunt, giving dogs even more opportunities to tap into their natural hunting and scenting instincts through exciting searches, challenges and new environments. Happy Ratters is the "urban" version Barn Hunt! If you are not familiar with Barn Hunt dogs search through a designed course of straw bales hunting for a rat in a tube! You will never see the rat or come into contact with it. Under EU regulation we cannot use live rodents. Like Barn Hunt, Happy ratters WILL NOT encourage your dog to hunt vermin. Hunt Drive and Prey Drive are not the same thing. Hunt Drive is the desire to search,scent and locate. Prey Drive involves the wider predatory sequence, Including behaviours such as chasing and catching. Happy Ratters gives a dog a controlled outlet to use that incredible nose and natural desire to SEARCH! We are not teaching them to chase or kill rats.
