Got a spaniel with a busy brain, an even busier nose and their own ideas about where a walk should take you? Welcome to Spaniel School! Spaniel School is our 5 week training course designed specifically for spaniels, focusing on the skills that can often be a little tricky when you’ve got a dog who was bred to hunt, sniff and GO! Rather than trying to stop your spaniel from being a spaniel, we’ll show you how to work with their natural instincts while building better communication and everyday skills. What will we work on? 🐾 Engagement – helping your spaniel choose YOU, even when the environment is exciting. 🐾 Impulse Control – teaching them that they don’t always have to act on every exciting thought! 🐾 Loose Lead Walking – practical techniques to make walks feel less like you’re attached to a furry freight train. 🐾 Disengagement – helping your spaniel move their attention away from smells, dogs and other distractions. 🐾 Understanding Your Spaniel – learning more about what makes that busy spaniel brain tick and how appropriate outlets can actually make training easier. This isn’t about creating a robot that walks perfectly at your side. We want your spaniel to sniff, explore and enjoy being a spaniel, while also learning when it’s time to tune back into you. Whether you’ve got a working cocker, show cocker, springer or another spaniel variety, this class is all about turning some of that spaniel chaos into connection. Our classes are held at our indoor unit in Knightsridge,Livingston. NO CLASSES ON 10th & 24th OCTOBER (So this block will end on 7th November) Please note this class is not suitable for reactive dogs, if you have any questions please message us before booking

Terms and Conditions: There is 7 day cooling off period for any class that is booked online. After those 7 days then no refund is permitted. If you do not wish to resume classes booked after the start date no refund is permitted. Our training is based on the kindest, most effective, non-punitive methods. We carefully design and structure our training programme/s to be the best they can for dog and owner. We hope you enjoy the sessions as much as we love instructing them! These policies are written in the interest of safety, responsibility and care for owners and their dogs. By training with Cosmic Dog Training, you are deemed to have accepted our Training Policy: Harsh handling is not permitted. We have a complete ban on choke chains and other coercive or punitive techniques, in accordance with the APDT Code of Practice. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs when in public places. All dogs must be kept under control and on leash in public areas (off leash only where specifically instructed by your Trainer). We are there to help but you are responsible for the conduct of your dog at all times. Cosmic Dog Training will make every effort to ensure that you and your dog are kept safe whilst training with us. Nevertheless, Cosmic Dog Training cannot be held liable for any loss or damage of your property, or the loss, injury or death of your dog whilst training. Calm & quiet Children are welcome to attend the training sessions, however, for the sake of safety and consistency in training, young people under the age of 16 MUST be supervised by an adult. Parents may wish to sit down with Children before a dog training session to explain how important it is for them to listen and be involved to prevent unwanted distractions during a session. Please let us know if your dog is not in a fit state to train due to illness, disease, injury or for any other reason.
